Things to do?

For those who must then the Island offers a 125 mile footpath around its coastline (all marked and measured) with numerous beaches along the way and cycle routes, with one 100 metres from Parc Cefni about 3.5 miles long around the Cefni lake.  Visit the castles at Beaumaris and Caernarfon built by Edward 1 to try and subdue our Welsh ancestors.  No wonder we enjoy beating England at anything particularly rugby.   Boat trips and sea fishing all round the island, with freshwater fishing available 100 metres from Parc Cefni, (Day permit required payable locally). Climb Snowdon (there is a path) or any of the other peak and rejoice at the majesty of it all.   With lungs full of fresh air there is little wonder why we the Welsh can sing.  Zip down the mountain on a wire or take the Menai Straits fast rib ride to calm your nerves!   Historically and geologically Anglesey is varied with some of the oldest rocks in the world as its foundation to relics of our ancestors 4000 years BC at Barclodiad y Gawres, near Cable Bay.

The photograph was taken on one of my wife's and I many trips to Llyn Idwal.
